Basics
It is a short spoken interview with an AI interviewer named Maya, for one specific job you applied to. It runs in your browser or in the GoodSpace app, takes about 15 minutes, and the report goes to the hiring team.
Where do I find my AI interview link?Most askedThe link is sent to you by email and WhatsApp, and arrives as an Interview Call notification. If you were shortlisted the moment you applied, the same link is shown on the application screen as Start Interview Now.
Before you start
Any device with a working camera, microphone and a steady internet connection will do. Chrome or Edge is the safest choice, and headphones make the biggest difference to how well you are heard.
What does the joining screen check before the interview?Before you start you see a joining screen with your camera preview, switches for camera and microphone, a live microphone meter, a connection reading and the interview length. The Accept and continue button only works once both devices are on.
Camera or microphone is blocked, how do I fix it?The switch flipping straight back off means the browser refused permission. Allow camera and microphone for goodspace.ai in your browser's site settings, then reload the interview page.
Why am I asked to upload a resume before the interview?If GoodSpace has no readable resume on your account, the interview screen asks for one so the questions can match your background. Upload a PDF or Word file and the interview continues.
During the interview
Maya asks a question out loud, you answer out loud, and captions of both sides appear on screen. Questions come from the hirer's screening list, the job description and your resume. Keep answers to about 30 to 60 seconds.
How long does the AI interview take?The joining screen says about 15 minutes. If a session runs long the interviewer starts wrapping up at around 20 minutes and the session closes itself at around 25 minutes, so keep a half hour free.
What happens if I switch tabs during the interview?Switching tabs, copying, pasting or leaving full screen is recorded and shown to you as a notice. Your interview keeps running and nothing is cancelled, but the events go into the report the hirer reads.
The AI interviewer is not responding, what do I do?Wait a few seconds first, since the thinking dots mean a reply is coming. If it stays silent, press Having trouble at the top of the screen. That nudges the interviewer and lets you report the problem without ending the interview.
Problems
You have a short grace period to get back in. Reopen the same interview link straight away and choose Continue interview. If you take too long, the session is closed and saved with whatever you had answered.
Can I pause, restart or retake the interview?There is no pause button. An interrupted interview can be continued from where you stopped. You can only start over if you have not answered anything yet, and once an interview is submitted that link cannot be used again.
Why does my interview link not work?The link expires after the window the hirer set, and it only works on the account you applied with. Sign in to the right account and try again. If the window has closed, the link cannot be revived from your side.
Why must I finish pending interviews before applying?If you leave many interviews unfinished, GoodSpace pauses new applications and shows the waiting interviews with a Start Interview button. Clear them and applying works again.
