Camera or microphone is blocked, how do I fix it?
The switch flipping straight back off means the browser refused permission. Allow camera and microphone for goodspace.ai in your browser's site settings, then reload the interview page.
Allow access again
- Open the site permissions
Tap the lock or settings icon in the address bar, next to the page address.
- Set camera and microphone to Allow
Change both from Block to Allow for this site.
- Reload the interview page
Permission changes only take effect after a reload.
- Grant the prompt
When the browser asks again, choose to allow.
GoodSpace's own in-interview help lists this as the fix: refresh the page and grant permissions when prompted.
- Turn the switches on
Switch on Enable camera and Enable microphone on the joining screen.
If it still will not budge
- Check the correct camera and mic are selected in the site settings, not a device you unplugged.
- Close any other app or tab holding the camera, then reload.
- Restart the browser.
- Try another browser. Chrome and Edge are the safest choices.
- On a phone, check the GoodSpace app or your browser has camera and microphone permission in your phone's own settings.

Can I take the interview with audio only?
No. The joining screen needs both the camera and the microphone on before Accept and continue works.
It worked yesterday, why not now?
A browser update, an extension, or another app holding the device can all take it away. Close other video apps, reload, and grant the prompt again.
