What device and browser do I need for the AI interview?
Any device with a working camera, microphone and a steady internet connection will do. Chrome or Edge is the safest choice, and headphones make the biggest difference to how well you are heard.
What you need
- A camera and a microphone the browser can use.
- A recent Chrome or Edge browser. GoodSpace's own in-interview help suggests Chrome or Edge when something misbehaves.
- A quiet room, and headphones if you have them.
- Steady internet. The joining screen measures this and warns you if it looks weak.
- Enough battery, or a charger, for about 15 minutes of video.
Get the machine ready
- Close everything that uses the mic or camera
Video calls, recorders and other tabs can hold the device so the interview cannot open it.
- Close heavy downloads and streams
They eat the bandwidth the live audio needs.
- Turn off a VPN or proxy
GoodSpace's own troubleshooting suggests disabling these when the interview keeps dropping.
- Sit with light in front of you
Avoid a bright window behind you, or the camera sees a silhouette.

Can I use my phone?
Yes. The GoodSpace app has the same joining screen, and a mobile browser works too. A laptop is still steadier for a 15 minute recording.
Does it work on office wifi?
Usually, but strict office networks sometimes block live audio. If the joining screen says your connection is weak, move to another network before you start.
Do I need to install anything?
No. On the web it runs in the browser tab, with no download.
