Resume Scanner

The scanner reads your resume the way recruiter screening software does. It gives you a score out of 100, then lists what is missing or weak, section by section, so you know what to fix before you apply.

Open the ATS Score Checker, drop in a PDF or Word file, verify your mobile number with the OTP, and wait a few seconds. The report opens on its own when the scan finishes.

Upload a PDF, DOC or DOCX file under 5 MB. The text inside must be real text, so scanned or photographed resumes and password protected PDFs cannot be read.

The score is out of 100. Above 80 is Strong, 60 to 79 is Average and below 60 is Needs work. The report also shows how many points you are away from 80 and how many fixes are waiting.

The left side of the report lists your sections. Home is the summary, then parse rate, impact, clarity, style, sections, skills and keywords. Each one holds checks with an issue count you can open.

Your first scan and your score are free, along with Home, ATS Parse Rate, Clarity and Style. Impact, Sections, Skills and ATS Keywords are locked until you unlock the full report or go Gold.

Click any locked section, or the unlock card that appears over the report. Choose the scanner pack or Gold, pay, and the page reloads with every section open.

On an unlocked report, use Download PDF or Email it to me in the top bar. On a free report both buttons open the Gold upgrade instead of delivering the file.

Press Re-scan resume in the report sidebar and upload your corrected file. Each re-scan uses one scan credit, or is included if you are on Gold.

Your latest report opens from VIEW LAST REPORT on the ATS Score Checker. Every earlier scan is listed under Recent Work in your premium tools page.

The scanner scores your resume on its own, without a job description. To see how well it matches one posting, open Check & Tailor in the Resume Builder and paste the job description there.

Press Resume Builder in the report sidebar. Your resume is rebuilt as an editable document, so you can fix the issues the report listed and export a corrected file.

A scan normally finishes in seconds. If the progress screen stays put, reload the report page. If it still fails, upload the file again from the checker.

The scanner refuses a file it cannot read properly and tells you why. Most cases are fixed by exporting a clean text based PDF with your contact details at the top.

The unlock card appears because your report is a free one. Closing it hides it for a while, and on a phone it comes back. Unlocking the report or going Gold stops it for good.
