How do I delete my account?
Go to the delete account page, select Continue to delete my account, pick a reason and write a short comment. Your request is raised and the account is deleted within 24 hours. It cannot be undone once done.
Raise a deletion request
- Open the delete account page
Go to Delete account, or open Edit profile on your profile and select Delete my account at the bottom.
- Select Continue to delete my account
You need to be signed in for this button to open the next step.
- Pick a reason
Choose the closest one, from I found a job to Something else, then select Continue.
- Write a short comment
This is required. A line or two is enough, and a person reads it.
Leaving it blank shows Please tell us a little more before you continue.
- Confirm
You may be offered one discount on Gold. Choose No thanks, delete my account if you still want to go.
- You are signed out
The confirmation page says Your request has been raised and logs you out after 15 seconds. You can use Log out now instead.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, photo and all its sections
- Your uploaded resume
- Your posts and the name and photo shown on them
- Your chats and messages
- Any platforms you connected to your profile showcase, and their project pages
- Your profile link, which is held for 90 days before anyone else can take it

How long does it take?
The confirmation page says your account will be deleted within the next 24 hours, and you get an email once it is done.
What happens to Gold and anything I paid for?
A request cannot be raised while a paid plan is still running, see I cannot delete my account. Once a plan has ended, deleting ends any access it gave you and does not create a refund. Refund rules are in the refund policy.
Can I change my mind after submitting?
Yes, until it is carried out. See I changed my mind about deleting.
Can I delete from the app?
Open Delete account in a browser. The flow lives on the website.
