How do I get my OTP on WhatsApp?
After you use Resend OTP once, Indian numbers see Didn't get it? Send OTP on WhatsApp. Select it and the same kind of 4 digit code arrives on WhatsApp instead.
Ask for the code on WhatsApp
- Send the first code as usual
Enter your number and let the SMS go out.
- Use Resend OTP once
Wait for the countdown, then select Resend OTP.
- Select the WhatsApp link
Didn't get it? Send OTP on WhatsApp appears under the buttons. Select it and open WhatsApp.
The button then counts down before it can be used again.
If something goes wrong
"WhatsApp OTP is available only for Indian (+91) numbers."
WhyThe number on screen is not an Indian number.
FixUse the SMS code, Google sign in, or QR login from the app.
"WhatsApp OTP is not available for this account."
WhyThe account is already fully set up, so it uses SMS only.
FixUse Resend OTP, or sign in with the QR code from the GoodSpace app.
"A WhatsApp OTP was already sent. Please wait a few minutes before requesting again."
WhyA WhatsApp code went out very recently.
FixCheck your WhatsApp for it. The code already sent still works for 10 minutes.
"Could not send OTP on WhatsApp. Please try again."
WhyThe message could not be delivered.
FixTry once more, then fall back to the SMS code.
