I am blocked after too many wrong OTPs
After five wrong codes, sign in on that number is paused for one hour. Nothing happens to your account or your data, and it unlocks on its own.
What the block is
- Trigger
- 5 wrong codes on the same mobile number
- How long
- 1 hour, then it clears on its own
- What it affects
- Only sign in on that number
- What it does not affect
- Your profile, applications, Gold and purchases are untouched. Nothing is deleted.
You will see Please try again in 1 hour. or a message counting down the minutes left. Entering more codes during that hour does not shorten it.
What to do
- Stop entering codes
Further attempts are not checked and only keep the wait alive.
- Sign in another way in the meantime
Sign up or log in with Google, or scan the QR from the GoodSpace app on your phone, both avoid the OTP entirely.
- Come back after an hour
Send a fresh code and use the newest SMS.
One correct code clears the block immediately.

The hour runs on its own and clears automatically. The quickest route back in is Google sign in or QR login from the app.
Does this mean someone tried to get into my account?
Not necessarily. Old SMS codes and mistyped digits are by far the most common cause.
