OTP problems

My OTP is invalid or expired

A code is valid for 10 minutes and only the newest one works. If you get a mismatch, use the most recent SMS, check you are on the right number, and send a fresh code.

What each message means

"Oops your OTP didn't match, try again"

WhyThe four digits do not match the newest code for that number. Reading an older SMS is the usual cause.

FixOpen the most recent SMS and type that code. The boxes clear themselves so you can retype cleanly.

"OTP has expired. OTPs are valid for 10 minutes. Please request a new one"

WhyMore than 10 minutes passed between the code being sent and being entered.

FixUse Resend OTP, or close and start the sign in again, then enter the new code straight away.

"The OTP you entered is invalid." or "OTP is invalid."

WhyFewer than four digits were entered.

FixThe code is exactly 4 digits. Fill all four boxes.

Nothing happens when I paste the code

WhyText pasted with spaces or letters around it.

FixPaste only the digits, or type them. Pasting all four at once is supported and submits on its own.

Get a clean code

  1. Clear the boxes

Press backspace through them, or select (Change) to go back to the number.

  2. Send a fresh code

Use Resend OTP once the countdown finishes.

  3. Enter the newest SMS

Sort your SMS by time and use the one at the top.

Type it within 10 minutes of it arriving.
