Do I need an account to use Lumi?
You can open Lumi and type a question signed out. Pressing send opens the sign in flow, and once you are in, the message you typed is sent automatically so you do not lose it.
What happens when you send signed out
- You type and press send
Nothing is lost. Your text stays in the box.
- The sign in window opens
It is the usual GoodSpace phone and code sign in, the same one the job pages use.
- Finish sign in
New accounts also go through a short setup. See Account and login if it gets stuck.
- Your question is sent
As soon as your account is ready, Lumi answers the question you typed.
If something goes wrong
I signed in but Lumi did not send my message
WhyThe setup did not finish, so the account is not active yet.
FixFinish onboarding, then type the question again.
Lumi keeps asking me to sign in
WhyYour session ended, often after clearing browser data.
FixSign in again from the top bar and reload the page.

Does signing in cost anything?
No. An account is free and so is Lumi, within the free hourly limit.
Can I use Lumi on a shared computer?
You can, but sign out afterwards. Your chats stay on your account and would be visible to the next person.
