How do I find, rename or delete an old Lumi chat?
Open the clock button at the bottom right of Lumi to see your chats, grouped by day. Select one to reopen it, rename the open chat from its title, and delete a chat from its row in the list.
Work with your chats
- Open the history
Select the clock button. The rail lists your chats under Today, Yesterday and Previous 7 days.
- Reopen a chat
Select its row. The full conversation loads.
- Rename the open chat
Select the title at the top of the chat and type a new one.
Untitled chats show a name taken from your first question.
- Delete a chat
Select the remove icon on its row and confirm. Deleting asks first, because the delete sits next to the row that opens the chat.
If something goes wrong
The history rail is not there
WhyIt starts closed, and on a narrow screen it overlays the chat instead of sitting beside it.
FixSelect the clock button at the bottom right.
A chat is missing
WhyIt was deleted, or you are signed in to a different account.
FixDeleted chats cannot be recovered. Check which account you are on from the profile menu.
A new chat does not remember the last one
WhyEach chat is its own conversation.
FixReopen the earlier chat from the history rail and continue there.
