Who can message me, and where is my inbox?
Your inbox is at /chat. Conversations open when a hirer reaches out, when your application moves forward, or when a pitch is accepted. You cannot start a chat with any member you like.
How a conversation starts
- A hirer sends you an offer or reaches out about a role
- Your application is taken forward by a hirer
- A pitch you sent is accepted
Reply to a hirer
- Open your inbox
Go to Messages, or select a message notification from the bell.
- Pick the conversation
The list on the left shows your recent chats.
- Answer the prompt
Some conversations open with Accept and Reject buttons. Rejecting asks you to confirm, because the conversation is then deleted.
- Or grab the opportunity
Some conversations show Grab Opportunity, which spends GCoins. See GCoins.

Can I block someone in a chat?
Yes. A blocked person cannot message you, and the chat shows You have blocked <name> in place of the message box. You can unblock them from the same place.
What does /chats do?
It is an old address that sends you to Messages.
Do I get notified about messages?
Yes, in the bell and by email. See notifications and emails.
