You are going a bit fast: feed limits explained
Each action has a short burst limit and a daily limit. The warning message names the action, the ceiling and when it lifts. Gold raises the daily limit for posting, commenting, reacting and following.
Limits exist so one account cannot flood the feed. There are two windows for every action, a short one that protects the site and a daily one that keeps any single person from taking over the feed.
What the warning tells you
- The action
- For example posts, comments, reactions or follows
- The ceiling
- How many you are allowed in that window
- When it lifts
- How long to wait
- See Gold
- Shown only when Gold would actually raise that limit
What a plan does and does not raise
| Raised by Gold | Never raised by any plan |
|---|---|
| Posting, commenting, reacting, saving | Reporting a post |
| Resharing and poll votes | Deleting posts |
| Following and connecting | Changing your handle |
| Media uploads |
If something goes wrong
I only posted once and was still limited
WhyThe same text from the same author is refused for a day, which reads like a limit.
FixChange the wording, or wait a day.
The limit hit while I was clearing connection requests
WhyAccepting, rejecting and withdrawing all count.
FixThe allowance for managing requests is generous. Wait for the window and carry on.

Why can Gold not buy more reports?
Money should not buy a bigger megaphone aimed at the moderation system, so reporting, deleting and handle changes are the same on every plan.
Does a limit affect my job applications?
No. These limits are for the feed only. Applying is covered in applying to jobs.
