How do I write a post on the feed?
Open the feed and select the composer at the top. You can post up to 5000 characters, add up to 4 images or a video, or run a poll, and tag the post so the right people see it.
Post something
- Open the composer
Select the box at the top of the feed.
- Choose the kind of post
Plain text, Add image, Add video or Add poll.
- Write it
A headline is optional. The body counter shows how much room is left.
- Tag it
Pick one of #show, #hiring, #ask, #win, #advice or #referral so it reaches the right readers.
- Select Post
It appears at the top of your feed straight away.
Limits on one post
- Text
- Up to 5000 characters
- Images or video
- Up to 4 files
- Links
- Up to 3 in a post, 1 in a comment
- Mentions
- Up to 10
- Image format
- PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF. Video must be MP4 or MOV
If something goes wrong
The Post button will not turn on
WhyA poll needs a question and at least two options, and a media post needs the upload to finish.
FixFill in the missing part, or wait for the upload to complete.
The video will not upload
WhyOnly MP4 and MOV are accepted, whatever the file picker lets you choose.
FixConvert the file to MP4 and try again.
