My message is not sending or the chat is empty
Check whether the chat shows a block notice, a GCoins message or no message box at all. Each one explains itself in the conversation, and the fix is different for each.
If something goes wrong
"You have blocked <name>"
WhyYou blocked this person, so the message box is replaced with the notice.
FixUnblock them from the same conversation, then the box comes back.
"Insufficient GCoins."
WhyThe action in that chat costs GCoins and your balance is too low.
FixTop up from GCoins, then try again.
There is no message box, only text
WhyThe conversation is waiting on an action, or it has ended.
FixRead the line where the box would be. It says what the chat is waiting for.
A conversation disappeared
WhyRejecting an offer deletes that conversation, which the confirmation warns about.
FixIt cannot be brought back. Apply again from Jobs if you changed your mind.
The inbox is completely empty
WhyNo one has opened a conversation with you yet.
FixApply to more jobs and complete your profile, so hirers can find you.
General fixes
- Reload the page
Chat uses a live connection, which a flaky network can drop.
- Check your connection
Switch between mobile data and Wi-Fi.
- Sign in again
If you were signed out elsewhere, the inbox cannot load. See Account and login.
- Try another browser
A strict blocker or a company network can block the live chat connection.
