It says Upload your resume to apply
Your first application needs a resume GoodSpace can read. Upload a PDF, DOC or DOCX under 5 MB, or choose Onboard manually if you have no file to hand.
Upload during the apply
- Press Quick Apply
If no readable resume is on your account, the upload box opens straight away.
- Choose your file
Drag it in, or select Upload & Apply and pick the file. PDF, DOC and DOCX are accepted.
- Wait while it is read
You see progress lines such as Uploading your resume, then AI is reviewing. It takes a few seconds.
- Confirm your details if asked
If your name or email could not be found, a One last thing screen appears. Fill them in and select Continue.
- The application continues
Your new resume is attached automatically and the apply carries on. You do not press Quick Apply again.
File rules
- Formats
- PDF, DOC and DOCX.
- Maximum size
- 5 MB.
- Not accepted
- Password protected files, and scanned photos of a printed resume, because the text cannot be read.
- Must contain
- Your name, email and phone number.
If something goes wrong
"Only PDF, DOC, and DOCX files are allowed."
WhyThe file is an image, a Pages file or another format.
FixExport it as a PDF and upload again.
"That file is over 5MB. Please upload a smaller resume."
WhyThe file is too large.
FixCompress the PDF or remove large images, then upload again.
"Couldn't upload, make sure your resume includes your name, email, and phone number."
WhyKey details were missing from the file.
FixAdd your name, email and phone number at the top of the resume and upload again.
"An error occurred while parsing the resume."
WhyThe file could not be read.
FixRe-save it as a normal text based PDF and try once more. More fixes in Profile and resume.
"The email on your resume is already linked to another account."
WhyThat email address belongs to a different GoodSpace account.
FixUse a different email on the One last thing screen, or see Account and login.

Do I have to upload a resume for every job?
No. Once one resume is read, later applications let you pick from your saved resumes instead.
