What happens after I apply?
Your application is analysed on the spot and an Application Update screen tells you the outcome. The job is added to your tracker and the outcome is emailed to you once.
The sequence

A Hang tight! screen appears while your application is read against the role.
- Application Update
One of three outcomes is shown, along with a What happens next block.
- Email
The outcome is emailed to you once, to the address on your account.
- Tracker
The job appears on your job tracker so you can follow it later.
The three outcomes
| Screen | What it means |
|---|---|
| You've been shortlisted | You matched the role. Some companies then offer an interview link on the same screen. |
| Your application is still under review | Your details have gone to the hiring team and a decision is still to come. |
| We truly appreciate the time you invested | You were not taken forward for this role. |

Related questions
Is shortlisted the same as getting the job?
No. It means you passed the first screen. The hiring team decides the next steps, and some roles then ask for an AI interview. See AI interview.
How long until the company replies?
That is entirely up to the hiring team. You are notified whenever they update your application.
I closed the screen too fast. Where is my result?
Open your tracker and select the application to see its status and feedback.
Why did I only get one email?
The outcome email is sent once, on the first evaluation of that application. Later updates come as notifications. See Notifications and emails.
