During the Interview
What happens during the interview session?
The interviewer speaks its questions and you answer out loud. The current question is shown at the top, your video on the right, and controls at the bottom for mute, camera, fullscreen and ending the call.
What is on screen
- The job role and company you are practising for, at the top.
- Question 2/6 style numbering once the interviewer starts numbering questions.
- The AI interviewer panel, which lights up while it is speaking.
- Your own camera preview, which lights up while you are speaking.
- A transcript bar at the bottom showing the latest lines from both sides.
The controls
- Mute microphone and Unmute microphone.
- Turn off camera and Turn on camera.
- Enter fullscreen and Exit fullscreen.
- End interview, the red button in the middle.
Banners you may see
- Last question
- A banner says to stay on the page because your report opens as soon as the interviewer signs off.
- Reconnecting
- Reconnecting... Please stay on this page. The interview is being restored.
- Microphone warning
- A banner appears if no audio is reaching the interviewer. See we cannot hear your microphone.

Can I turn my camera off?
Yes, using the camera control. The interview continues on audio.
Does muting pause the interview?
No. The interviewer keeps going and simply hears nothing, so unmute before you answer.
Is my session recorded?
A full interview is recorded so it can be analysed into your report. A free preview is not recorded.
