Pharma recruitment agency for life sciences and healthtech

GoodSpace is a pharma recruitment agency for drug and API makers, healthtech platforms and medical device companies that need sales, business development and operations managers. Recruiters run each search, AI helps assess applications against your brief, and our only charge is a success fee, paid when your hire joins.

How a search runs

Our pharma, healthcare and life sciences work so far

  • 35+ roles briefed by 19+ pharma, healthtech and healthcare companies
  • About half are budgeted at Rs 5 to 10 L

Hire360 mandates approved since October 2025, as of 27 October 2026.

Recruitment for pharmaceutical and medical device companies

Our work here focuses on permanent commercial and operations roles for pharma, healthtech and medical device businesses. It does not cover volume staffing of doctors or nurses or overseas nurse placement.

  • For field sales, specify the territory, product and customer type.
  • For plant or export roles, include the site, responsibilities and relocation or travel requirements.

Pharma and healthtech roles we recruit for

Sales and business development, including export and institutional sales, is the largest share of what companies in this sector brief us on, followed by operations. The titles below appear on those briefs.

Field sales

  • Sales Executive
  • Area Sales Manager
  • Regional Sales Manager

We look for a territory record we can check: the state or region covered, the hospitals, labs or distributors sold to, and performance against target.

Operations and projects

  • Operations Manager
  • Project Manager

We look for people who have run a product or business operation, or delivered projects at a regulated site, and can point to the processes and documentation they owned.

Marketing and HR

  • Marketing Manager
  • HR Manager

We look for marketing managers who know the rules on promoting medicines and devices to doctors and institutions, and HR managers used to hiring and keeping large field and plant teams.

What makes pharma and healthtech hiring hard

Field sales is tied to a territory

Area and regional sales roles for devices, diagnostics and healthtech often cover a whole state, selling into hospitals, labs, clinics and distributors. A candidate's value lies in the buyers and channel partners they already know there. Someone from another region or product category has to build that from the start.

How we handle it: In medical devices recruitment we fix the territory, headquarters and customer type at briefing. AI helps assess applications against your brief, and recruiters check the accounts and region each candidate has actually covered.

Export roles need market-by-market experience

Selling formulations, APIs or devices abroad means working through each country's registration rules, overseas distributors and long approval cycles. Domestic sales experience does not carry over directly, and few people have opened regulated markets themselves. Candidates with identical export titles can have very different exposure.

How we handle it: We ask which markets, products and partners the role covers, and whether it includes registrations and dossiers. Recruiters then confirm which countries each candidate has actually opened or managed, rather than taking the title at face value.

Plant roles away from the metros

Production, operations and project roles often sit at a plant in an industrial town, and they come with inspections, batch records and the documentation that Schedule M or device rules require. Metro candidates hesitate to relocate, and local candidates may not have worked under that level of audit. The hire needs both.

How we handle it: We settle relocation support and the regulatory side of the role at briefing. Recruiters look first in the region and in similar plant towns, and ask for specific audit and documentation experience before shortlisting.

What a pharma or healthtech brief should cover

A pharma job description usually names the product and the target, but rarely the buyer, the territory or the audit load. As pharma recruitment consultants, we ask for these details before the role goes live.

  • Product and buyerWhat the role sells (a formulation and its therapy area, an API, a device, a diagnostic or software) and who buys it: hospitals, labs, distributors, government tenders or overseas partners.
  • Territory and headquartersThe state or region covered, where the person will be based and how much travel the role carries, so we search people who already know that ground.
  • Export marketsFor international roles, which countries or regions, whether they are regulated markets, and whether the person must handle registrations and dossiers or only distributor sales.
  • Regulatory exposure and siteWhether the role faces inspections, audits, Schedule M or device documentation, and for plant roles, the location, shift pattern and any relocation support on offer.

How a Hire360 search runs

Recruiters run the search with AI-assisted assessment. One client success manager owns your role from brief to joining day.

  1. Step 1 · You and your client success manager

    Brief

A call about the role, then a short questionnaire on budget, notice period, location, target companies and urgency.

  2. Step 2 · GoodSpace

    Review and go-live

We review every brief before we accept it, and we say so when a role is not a fit for us.

  3. Step 3 · Recruiters

    Sourcing

Your role opens to candidates on GoodSpace, and our recruiters search for people who match the brief.

  4. Step 4 · AI and recruiters

    Scoring and shortlisting

AI-assisted assessment supports recruiter review. Recruiters evaluate applications against your brief and hand-pick the shortlist.

  5. Step 5 · You

    Interviews

Your client success manager shares each shortlist, collects your feedback and coordinates interview slots.

  6. Step 6 · Your client success manager

    Offer and joining

We help you close the offer and stay in touch with your candidate until their first day.

Where we recruit for pharma and healthtech

Head offices sit in the metros and many plants sit in industrial towns. Regional sales roles often cover a state, so tell us the headquarters and territory.

  • Delhi NCR
  • Hyderabad
  • Bengaluru
  • Mumbai
  • Plant and industrial towns

Pharma, healthcare and life sciences hiring: common questions

Most briefs from pharma, healthtech and device companies are commercial or operational: sales executives, area and regional sales managers, business development for domestic and export markets, operations and project managers, and marketing and HR managers. If your brief is for R&D, formulation science or clinical work, tell us early and we will say plainly whether we can run that search well.

We charge a success fee, paid when your hire joins. There is no platform fee and no retainer. Any replacement terms are set out in your agreement. The model is the same for an area sales role covering a single state, an export business development role and a plant leadership search, so you can brief each of them on the same terms.

We recruit for roles in Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai, and in the industrial towns where many pharma and device plants sit. Regional sales roles often cover a whole state, so we search around the territory rather than a single city. For plant roles we start with candidates already in the region, because relocation often decides a site hire.

After you brief us, your client success manager reviews the role and it goes live. Shortlist timing depends on the brief and the available talent pool. AI helps assess applications against your brief, and recruiters review profiles and hand-pick the shortlist, which appears in your GoodSpace dashboard. For field and plant roles, the time to joining then depends mostly on notice periods and, at a plant, on relocation.

Yes. About 1 in 8 of the roles we take on are Head, Director, VP or CXO level. In this sector, senior briefs are mostly functional heads in operations, export business and support functions, and many are based at a plant rather than a head office. Recruiters approach suitable people directly as well as reviewing applications, and for a confidential search they keep your company's name out of their outreach.

Only in part. Most of our work in this sector is for pharma, healthtech and medical device companies. We take on a small number of roles for care and wellness providers, but we do not run volume staffing of doctors or nurses, or overseas nurse placement. If a role needs a clinical licence or registration, say so in the brief and your client success manager will tell you early whether we are the right fit.
