Solar and renewable energy recruitment agency

GoodSpace is a renewable energy recruitment agency for solar, power, water and oil and gas companies hiring in India, with briefs across sales, business development, project and compliance roles. Recruiters run each search, AI helps assess applications against your brief, and our fee is a success fee, paid when your hire joins.

How a search runs

Our energy and renewables work so far

  • 27+ roles briefed by 17+ solar, power and environment companies
  • About half are budgeted at Rs 5 to 10 L

Hire360 mandates approved since October 2025, as of 27 October 2026.

Recruitment for solar, power and energy companies

We take permanent sales, project and plant briefs from energy businesses. A rooftop sales role and a role at a remote plant call for different experience and working arrangements.

  • Identify the segment and whether the employer develops, builds, supplies or operates projects.
  • Specify the site or territory, travel, relocation and the responsibilities the hire will own.

Energy and renewables roles we recruit for

The largest share of our energy briefs is in selling, whether to homeowners, factory owners or power buyers. Plant engineering comes next, then project and compliance roles.

Solar and energy sales

  • Sales Executive
  • Business Development Manager
  • Head of Sales

We look for sellers who can explain payback, net metering and subsidy paperwork to a homeowner or a plant head, and for sales heads who have built and run a state-wide team in your segment.

Techno-commercial and projects

  • Sales Engineer
  • Project Manager

We look for people who can survey a site, size and price a system, and carry it through DISCOM and electrical inspector approvals to commissioning without losing the margin.

Company secretarial and compliance

  • Company Secretary

We look for company secretaries who have kept board and statutory filings in order for groups that run several project or plant entities, where lender paperwork never stops.

What makes energy hiring hard

Solar sales needs technical answers

Solar buyers ask about payback, net metering, roof strength and subsidy paperwork before they sign. Sellers from consumer durables rarely have those answers, and engineers who know them have often never carried a target. Rooftop sales to homeowners through dealers also differs sharply from commercial and industrial deals with a factory owner and a procurement team.

How we handle it: As a solar recruitment agency, we record segment, ticket size and sales motion in the brief. AI helps assess applications against that brief, and recruiters review profiles and hand-pick the shortlist, checking where each candidate has actually closed deals.

The job is where the site is

Many energy roles are not in a metro. Project, plant and field sales roles sit in smaller industrial towns, near solar parks, or across a whole state. Metro candidates often decline once they see the location, and those who accept may not know the local DISCOM, the inspectors or the language.

How we handle it: We brief by site and territory, not just by city. Recruiters look first at people who already live near the territory and confirm relocation, travel and language before a profile reaches your dashboard, so your interviews go to people open to the location.

Same title, different jobs

A project manager at a rooftop installer runs small crews across many sites; at an EPC contractor, the same title runs a large site with civil, electrical and transmission contractors. A business development manager may build dealer networks, bid for tenders or negotiate power purchase agreements. Matching on title alone produces people who look right and are not.

How we handle it: Your brief tells us whether you are an EPC contractor, developer, manufacturer or O&M provider, and what the role actually runs. Recruiters use the brief and AI-assisted assessment to consider relevant work alongside the candidate’s title.

Segments we recruit for in energy and renewables

Solar

The bulk of our energy briefs, from EPC contractors and solar park operators to manufacturers, across sales, project and plant roles.

Power

Power generation and power trading businesses, mostly hiring for business development.

Oil and gas

A smaller set of briefs from oil and gas businesses in India, mainly commercial, purchase and maintenance roles.

Water and environment

Water treatment and waste management companies, with briefs ranging from sales leadership to purchase and company secretarial roles.

What we ask for in an energy brief

In energy, a title and a budget rarely tell us enough: a rooftop seller and a utility-scale business developer can share both. These are the inputs that most change who reaches your shortlist.

  • SegmentResidential rooftop, commercial and industrial, utility scale or open access.
  • Business modelEPC contractor, developer, manufacturer or O&M provider, since each changes what the role involves.
  • Site and territoryBase location, states covered, travel, and whether relocation to a site is expected.
  • Technical depthWhat the person handles alone: site surveys, system sizing, bills of quantities, single-line diagrams, or DISCOM and inspector approvals.
  • Sales motionDirect, dealer and channel, or tenders and power contracts, and who signs the deal.

How a Hire360 search runs

Recruiters run the search with AI-assisted assessment. One client success manager owns your role from brief to joining day.

  1. Step 1 · You and your client success manager

    Brief

A call about the role, then a short questionnaire on budget, notice period, location, target companies and urgency.

  2. Step 2 · GoodSpace

    Review and go-live

We review every brief before we accept it, and we say so when a role is not a fit for us.

  3. Step 3 · Recruiters

    Sourcing

Your role opens to candidates on GoodSpace, and our recruiters search for people who match the brief.

  4. Step 4 · AI and recruiters

    Scoring and shortlisting

AI-assisted assessment supports recruiter review. Recruiters evaluate applications against your brief and hand-pick the shortlist.

  5. Step 5 · You

    Interviews

Your client success manager shares each shortlist, collects your feedback and coordinates interview slots.

  6. Step 6 · Your client success manager

    Offer and joining

We help you close the offer and stay in touch with your candidate until their first day.

Where we hire for energy companies

Delhi NCR brings us the most energy roles, but many are based at a plant, a solar park or a state-wide territory, so recruiters search around the site rather than the nearest metro.

  • Delhi NCR
  • Mumbai
  • Hyderabad
  • Project sites

Energy and renewables hiring: common questions

We charge a success fee, paid when your hire joins. There is no platform fee and no retainer, and any replacement terms are set out in your agreement. The roles we recruit for are permanent positions on your payroll, so this is recruitment, not renewable energy staffing with contract workers on an agency's books.

Selling comes first: sales executives, sales engineers, business development managers and heads of sales. We also run searches in project management, plant and maintenance engineering, purchase and company secretarial work. If your role sits outside these, send the brief anyway; a recruiter will review it and say early whether the talent pool for that site and segment can support a shortlist.

Our energy briefs come most often from Delhi NCR, with others in Mumbai and Hyderabad, but many roles sit near solar parks, in industrial towns or across a whole state. Recruiters start with people who live near the territory and confirm relocation and travel before shortlisting, so name the exact site and the states covered in your brief.

Shortlist timing depends on the brief and the available talent pool. For energy roles, the pace after that depends on the site and the segment. A rooftop sales role near a large city draws a wide pool of applicants. A maintenance role at a remote plant, or a business developer who has negotiated power purchase agreements, comes from a much smaller pool, so we tell you early if a role will take longer.

Yes, and not only in energy. About 1 in 8 of the roles we take on are Head, Director, VP or CXO level. For energy companies, senior briefs include heads of sales and project leadership. These run like renewable energy executive search: recruiters reach people settled in their current roles, check how they have run state-wide teams or large project portfolios, and keep the search discreet.

Yes, for employers hiring in India. Most of our energy briefs come from solar companies, but we also take on roles at oil and gas, power generation, and water treatment and waste management businesses, mainly in sales, purchase, maintenance and compliance. We do not run overseas or Gulf placements; our searches are for permanent roles in teams based in India.
