How do I download my cover letter?
Press Download PDF under the preview. It takes a few seconds to build and opens in a new tab. The file is a clean PDF with no watermark.
Get the PDF
- Finish your edits
Pause a couple of seconds after your last change so it is saved. The PDF is built from the saved version.
- Press Download PDF
The button sits under the preview. It reads Preparing PDF... while the file is built, which takes a few seconds.
Press it once. Pressing repeatedly does not make it faster.
- Open the file
It opens in a new tab. If nothing happens, allow pop-ups for goodspace.ai and press again.
- Use the success screen
Congratulations! Your Cover Letter Is Ready! appears, with Download as PDF if you want the file again.
If something goes wrong
"Couldn't build the PDF. Please try again."
WhyThe file could not be prepared this time.
FixPress Download PDF again. If it repeats, reload the page and retry.
"Failed to generate PDF"
WhyThe request did not complete.
FixCheck your connection and try again.
Nothing opened
WhyThe browser blocked the new tab.
FixAllow pop-ups for goodspace.ai and press the button again.

No, the download is a PDF. PDF is also safer for applications, because the layout cannot shift on the employer's machine.

There is no send button in the cover letter editor. Download the PDF and attach it to your own email or application.

Yes. Open the letter from Recent Work in premium tools and press Download PDF.
