How do I add, remove and reorder sections?
The left panel holds your sections. Fill them in and the page rebuilds as you type. You can drag sections into a different order, take some off the resume and add extras such as Certifications.
The built in sections
- Personal Details, including your professional summary
- Work Experience
- Education
- Projects
- Skills
- Social
- Achievements
- Finalise, where the template, colour and download sit
Shape the resume
- Fill a section
Open it in the left panel and type. The page on the right updates as you go.
- Reorder
Drag a section to move it. Freshers usually want Education above Work Experience.
- Add an extra section
Use the section picker to add ready made ones such as Certifications, Languages, Courses, Volunteering, Publications and Conferences, or create your own with a custom title.
- Take one off
Sections you do not need can be removed. Removing is not deleting: the entries stay saved, so you can put the section back with its content intact.
Useful controls
- Undo and redo
- In the top bar on a computer, or Ctrl or Cmd with Z.
- Move an entry
- Each entry has its own up and down controls, so one job can move without reordering the section.
- Bullets or paragraph
- Each section's free text can be laid out as bullets or as a paragraph.
- Preview in full screen
- In the top bar, to read the page as a recruiter would.

My resume runs to two pages
Trim the oldest roles to one line each and tighten the summary. The Fix Resume panel flags length problems too.
Can I rename a section?
A custom section takes any title you give it. The built in ones keep standard headings on purpose, because screening software looks for those exact words.
Where do my edits go?
They save on their own a couple of seconds after you stop typing. See saving and autosave.
