What do the application statuses mean?
The badge on a GoodSpace application shows what the hiring team has decided so far. Applied means nobody has ruled yet, Under Review means they are still deciding, Shortlisted means you cleared the screen, and Job Closed means the posting is no longer active.
The badge on a GoodSpace application
| Badge | What it means | What makes it appear |
|---|---|---|
| Applied | Your application is in. No decision yet. | You applied and no screening decision has been recorded. |
| Under Review | The hiring side has looked but not decided. | They marked you as a maybe rather than a yes or a no. |
| Shortlisted | You cleared the screen. | The hiring side accepted your profile. If the job uses an AI interview, this is the point an interview link is sent. |
| Interview Done | Your interview has been assessed. | The interview result was recorded, whether or not you were cleared. |
| Not Shortlisted | You were not taken forward for this job. | The hiring side rejected the application, or the interview window closed without a completed interview. |
| Job Closed | The posting is no longer active. | The hirer closed or deactivated the job. This overrides the other badges. |

Why is my application still Applied after weeks?
Nobody has recorded a decision. That is the hirer's pace, not a fault in the tracker.
Does Not Shortlisted mean I can never apply there again?
It applies to this one posting. Other roles from the same company are separate applications.
Are these the same as the board columns?
No. The badge is the hiring team's decision. The columns are your own labels for jobs you track yourself. See Board columns explained.
