How do I set my expected salary and notice period?

Open Edit details on your profile card and set Availability, Current CTC and Expected CTC. Both salary bands have to be filled in together, and both are private until you publish them.

Set salary and availability

  1. Open Edit details

On your profile, select the pencil on the fact strip at the bottom of your profile card.

  2. Choose your availability

Available Immediately, One Month Notice, Three Months Notice or Currently Unavailable.

  3. Pick both salary bands

Current CTC and Expected CTC are chosen from bands, not typed.

Both are needed, they are saved together. The hint reads Both salary bands are needed: they are saved together.

  4. Select Save

The fact strip and the Salary card both update.

If something goes wrong

The Save button stays greyed out

WhyOne of the two salary bands is still empty.

FixFill in both Current CTC and Expected CTC, then save.

I am a fresher and have no current salary

FixPick the lowest band for current, and a realistic band for expected.

The expected salary tile is still empty after saving

FixRefresh the page. The tile and the card read from two places and settle after a reload.

Why bands instead of an exact number?

Hirers filter on bands, so an exact figure would not be matched any better and gives away more than it needs to.

Should I publish my expected salary?

It is your call. Publishing filters out roles below your range early; keeping it private leaves room to discuss.
