How do I add or change my profile photo?
Select the small camera button on your profile picture and choose an image under 5 MB. It updates on your profile and in the menus right away.
Change your photo
- Open your profile
Go to your profile.
- Select the camera button
It sits on the corner of your picture and is labelled Change photo.
- Pick an image
Any normal image file works. Keep it under 5 MB.
A clear, front facing head and shoulders photo reads best at the small sizes the profile uses.
- Wait for the confirmation
The toast reads Profile photo updated. and the ring around your photo refreshes.
If something goes wrong
"Please choose an image under 5MB."
WhyThe file is larger than 5 MB.
FixResize or compress the photo, or take a new one at a lower resolution.
"Please choose an image file."
WhyThe file picked is not an image, for example a PDF.
FixChoose a JPG, PNG or similar image file.
The new photo shows on my profile but the menu still shows the old one
FixRefresh the page. Both readers update after a refresh.
Nothing happens when I pick a file
WhyThe upload is still running, or the connection dropped.
FixWait for Uploading... to finish, then try again on a stable connection.
