How do I write my About summary and headline?
The About card holds your summary, up to 500 characters. Your headline is the one line under your name and is edited with the pencil by your name, up to 200 characters.
Write your summary
- Open the About card
Scroll down your profile to About and select the pencil.
- Fill in Your profile summary
Say what you do, what you are good at, and what you are looking for next.
Longer summaries are shortened on the card with a Read more link, so put the important part first.
- Save
The card updates straight away.
Set your headline
- Select the pencil by your name
The Edit profile box opens.
- Type your Headline
The counter next to the label shows how much you have used, out of 200.
Leave it empty to fall back to your current role and employer.
