Browser Notifications
Why is there no Turn on button for browser notifications?
The card only appears where the browser can actually show notifications. It is hidden on browsers without support, for example Safari on iPhone when GoodSpace has not been added to the Home Screen.
Why the card can be missing
- Your browser does not support browser notifications at all.
- You are on Safari on iPhone and GoodSpace has not been added to the Home Screen.
- You are in a private or incognito window.
- The feature is temporarily unavailable, in which case it hides rather than showing a button that would fail.
What to do instead
- Use the mobile app
The GoodSpace app has its own notifications. See the app and extension.
- Try a different browser
Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc all support it on desktop and Android.
- Add GoodSpace to your iPhone Home Screen
In Safari, select the share icon and then Add to Home Screen, then open GoodSpace from that icon.
- Keep using the bell
The bell and Notifications work everywhere, with the site open.

Is it different on Android?
Chrome on Android supports browser notifications, so the card should appear. The GoodSpace app is still the smoother option on a phone.
Does an ad blocker hide it?
It can. A blocker that stops background scripts will also stop browser notifications from being set up.
