Staying Safe

How do I spot a fake job or a scam?

Treat any request for money, any offer without an interview, and any conversation that moves off GoodSpace straight away as warning signs. Report the post, stop replying, and never pay.

Warning signs

  • You are asked to pay anything, for registration, training, a kit, a security deposit or a background check.
  • An offer arrives with no interview, or after a two minute chat.
  • The pay is far above the market for the role and the experience asked for.
  • The person moves you off GoodSpace immediately, to a personal number or a chat group.
  • The email comes from a free address rather than a company domain.
  • You are pushed to decide today, or told the slot expires in an hour.
  • You are asked for your bank login, an OTP, a card number or a UPI PIN.
  • You are asked to send original documents or an identity document scan before any interview.

If something feels wrong

  1. Stop replying

You owe nobody an explanation, and silence costs you nothing.

  2. Do not pay

No genuine employer takes money from a candidate.

  3. Check the company yourself

Search the company name and the person's name. Look for a real careers page and a real office address.

  4. Report it

If it is a post on the feed, use Report post and choose Fake job or fraud. See how to report.

  5. Tell support

Send support the job link or a screenshot so the team can look at the account behind it.

I already paid. What now?

Contact your bank immediately and ask them to stop or reverse the transfer, then report the account to support with everything you have.

Is every job on GoodSpace verified?

Jobs are checked before they go live, but no check catches everything. Use the warning signs above on every conversation, wherever it started.

Someone said they work for GoodSpace and asked for a fee.

That is not GoodSpace. GoodSpace never asks you to pay a person or a personal account. Anything you buy is paid for at checkout inside the product.
