What should I write to HR on WhatsApp?
Send one short message that names the job, says who you are in a line, and asks a clear question. Keep it in working hours, do not send the same message twice in a day, and follow up only once.
Write a first message that gets read
- Say which job
Name the role and the company in the first line, so the recruiter knows what this is about.
Recruiters handle many roles at once.
- Say who you are in one line
Your current role or your course, your years of experience, and your city.
- Say you have applied
Mention that you applied on GoodSpace, so they can find your profile.
- Ask one clear question
For example whether your profile fits, or what the next step is.
- Keep it short
Four or five lines. Long messages get read later, which often means never.
Good habits
- Write between about 10am and 7pm on a working day
- Use plain language and your real name
- Attach your resume only if they ask for it
- Wait at least two working days before a single polite follow up
- Say thank you and close the chat politely if the answer is no
Things that get you ignored
- Just Hi with nothing else
- Calling late at night or on a Sunday
- Sending the same message again and again
- Asking for a job without naming the role
- Sharing the recruiter's number in a group

Should I call or WhatsApp first?
WhatsApp first. A written message can be read between interviews, a surprise call usually cannot. On a shared hiring desk card, calling is not offered at all.
Can I send my resume on WhatsApp?
Only if they ask. Your resume is already on your GoodSpace profile and goes with your application.
In which language should I write?
Whatever the job post is written in. Simple English is safe for most roles in India.
