The result depends heavily on the photo you give it. Use a clear, front facing selfie in good light with nothing covering your face, then generate again with a plainer background style.
Get a better result
- Retake the selfie
Face the camera straight on, in even light, with your whole face visible.
- Crop close before you upload
The image is squared off, so a head and shoulders crop keeps your face centred.
- Try a plainer background
Beige Gradient or Textured Wall leave less room for odd details.
- Generate again
Select Generate Another. The same photo and style can give a different result each time.
Common causes
- A blurry, dark or heavily filtered source photo.
- A side angle, so features have to be guessed.
- Sunglasses, a cap or a hand partly covering the face.
- Another person in the frame.
