Why is the Guarantee step still locked?
The Guarantee step shows a padlock until you have sent the number of feedback requests the Community step asks for. Sending more requests, not waiting for replies, is what unlocks it.
Common reasons it stays locked
The Community circle still shows fewer than the target
WhyNot enough requests have gone out yet.
FixOpen the Community step and keep sending until the circle reaches the target.
I sent requests from my phone but the web page shows zero
WhyThe page is showing stale data.
FixReload the progress page. It refetches every time it is opened or brought back into view.
The Preamble step is still blue, not green
WhyYour video pledge is not recorded, so the journey is not past step 2.
FixTap Record Pledge and finish that screen first.
My contacts list is empty
WhyNo contacts have been synced yet.
FixUse Scan QR or Sync Now, or add someone manually with Add peer.
"No contacts found in your Google account."
WhyThe Google account you picked has no saved contacts with a phone number.
FixPick a different Google account, or sync from the mobile app instead.
Once it unlocks, the step turns green, the button reads Get Accelerate, and a blue banner appears at the top of the progress page linking to Accelerate.

Does a peer declining count against me?
No. The unlock counts requests you sent, so a peer who does not reply does not block you.
Can I unlock it faster by paying?
No. There is no way to buy past this step.
I reached the number but the page still looks locked
Reload the page once. If it still looks wrong, sign out and back in so your session refreshes.
