The extension says I am not signed in, but I am
Open goodspace.ai in the same browser and the same browser profile, reload the job page, and check that the extension is enabled. The extension only reads your session from goodspace.ai itself.
Work through these in order
- Sign in on goodspace.ai in a tab
Not on a different GoodSpace surface, and not in another browser.
- Check the browser profile
Chrome profiles are separate. The extension must be in the same profile as the tab where you signed in.
- Reload the job page
Then reopen the panel.
- Check the extension is enabled
Open your browser's extensions page and make sure GoodSpace is switched on.
- Turn off incognito or guest mode
Sessions are not shared into a private window unless you allowed the extension there.
- Reinstall as a last resort
Remove it, then add it again from the Chrome Web Store and sign in on goodspace.ai.
If something goes wrong
The website does not notice the extension either
WhyThe extension needs a moment to announce itself after the page loads.
FixWait a second or two and reload. If the website still does not see it, check it is enabled.
The job ready step for the extension never ticks
WhyThat step is shown for awareness and is not counted towards the checklist.
FixFinish the other steps. Installing the extension is still worth doing for the tracker.
A blocker or a work laptop is in the way
WhySome managed browsers block extensions or block the connection to GoodSpace.
FixTry a personal browser profile, or use Job tracker on the website instead.
Related questions
Do I lose my tracked jobs if I reinstall?
No. Tracked applications are stored on your GoodSpace account and are on Job tracker.
Why does it work on one computer and not the other?
Each browser needs the extension installed and needs you to sign in to goodspace.ai there once.
