Java MCP Gateway Java MCP Gateway is an embeddable control plane for discovering and routing tools across multiple Model Context Protocol server adapters. It presents a namespaced, explicitly approved catalog and rejects unauthorized, denied, unhealthy, or over-quota calls before invoking an upstream server. Problem Statement Applications that consume several MCP servers need consistent discovery, naming, authorization, quotas, health decisions, audit events, and telemetry. Connecting an agent directly to every discovered tool makes the agent responsible for security and operational policy and can accidentally expose administrative capabilities.
