Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Purchase Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling the procurement of goods and services, maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring timely deliveries, and managing purchase orders and inventory levels. The Purchase Executive will collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and cost-effective purchasing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Purchase Order Management: Handle and process purchase orders (POs) from departments, ensuring they align with company requirements and budgets.
• Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
• Price & Quality Comparison: Evaluate and compare suppliers’ prices and quality of goods/services to ensure the best value for the company.
• Inventory Monitoring: Monitor inventory levels and place orders accordingly to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate purchase records, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts. Prepare regular reports on procurement activities for management.
• Market Research: Stay informed on market trends, industry best practices, and new suppliers to help improve procurement efficiency.
• Supplier Coordination: Track the status of orders, ensure timely delivery of goods, and handle any discrepancies in deliveries or invoices.
• Budget Adherence: Ensure all purchases comply with company budgets and cost guidelines.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments like finance, production, and logistics to ensure smooth procurement operations.
• Compliance: Ensure all purchases comply with legal, regulatory, and company policies and standards.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Purchase Executive or similar role in procurement or purchasing.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes.
Preferred:
• A degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Previous experience working in same profile
• Familiarity with global sourcing and international suppliers
• Should able to handle machinery purchase
• Female preferred
• Nearby candidate preferred
