Overview: Octobotics is seeking an NDT Applications Engineer – PAUT to drive innovation in ultrasonic inspection. This role involves developing and implementing advanced NDT solutions for diverse applications. You will be instrumental in enhancing our AI-based defect recognition systems and contributing to cutting-edge NDT automation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize PAUT procedures for corrosion mapping, weld inspection, and PWI.
• Implement advanced FMC-TFM techniques for complex material characterization.
• Conduct signal integrity analysis, noise reduction, and frequency tuning for UT.
• Perform probe selection and beamforming optimization for various NDT applications.
• Collaborate on AI-based defect recognition system integration and improvement.
• Provide technical support and training on NDT software and automation solutions.

Requirements:

• Masters degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in NDT, specifically with PAUT, FMC, and TFM.
• ASNT-Level II/III or ISO 9712 certification in UT and PAUT. PCN certification is a plus.
• Strong understanding of signal integrity, noise reduction, and electromagnetic shielding.
• Experience with weld inspection, corrosion mapping, and TOFD.
• Familiarity with NDT automation and advanced NDT software.
• Knowledge of AWS CWI, API 510/570 is advantageous.
