Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Structural Steel Detailer with 2-3 years of experience in Tekla Steel Detailing. This is a hybrid role, where the successful candidate will play a critical role in both Revit and Tekla modeling, generating accurate 3D models, and creating detailed structural drawings for construction. The ideal candidate should be eager to develop proficiency in Revit Structure while leveraging their existing Tekla experience to deliver top-quality structural steel designs and fabrication drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

Tekla Steel Detailing: Generate 3D models for steel structures in Tekla, ensuring accurate details for fabrication, installation, and construction purposes. Create and manage steel fabrication drawings with precision.

Revit Structural Modeling: Collaborate with the structural engineering team to generate Revit models of buildings and structures, ensuring coordination with other disciplines and meeting client specifications.

Construction Drawings: Develop clear and accurate structural construction drawings from both Tekla and Revit models. Produce drawings for steel fabrication, assembly, and installation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Collaboration: Work closely with structural engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure the models and drawings meet all project requirements and deadlines.

Quality Control: Perform detailed checks on models and drawings for accuracy, quality, and compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Learning & Development: Take an active role in expanding your skills in Revit Structure while maintaining and improving your Tekla expertise.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Tekla Steel Detailing, with a solid understanding of steel fabrication drawings, connections, and steel detailing standards.

Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Tekla Structures for steel detailing and model creation. Basic knowledge of Revit Structure is a plus, but the candidate should be eager to learn and grow in this area.

Software Skills: Familiarity with AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, and basic experience with Revit. A willingness to learn and develop proficiency in Revit is required.

Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret and accurately implement engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential issues in designs and proactively provide solutions.

Education: A background in structural engineering or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with BIM processes and workflows.

Experience with clash detection and coordination using Revit and Tekla.

Knowledge of international and regional standards for steel detailing and structural design.
