About the Company Unified Logistics India Pvt. Ltd. is a fast-growing international freight forwarding and logistics company providing Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Customs Clearance, Warehousing, and End-to-End Supply Chain solutions. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic professional to strengthen our Ocean Freight Pricing team. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Ocean Export Pricing who will be responsible for managing ocean export pricing, negotiating with shipping lines and co-loaders, developing competitive pricing strategies, supporting the sales team, and driving profitability through effective procurement and vendor management. Key Responsibilities Obtain competitive ocean export freight rates from shipping lines, NVOCCs, and co-loaders. Negotiate freight contracts and spot rates to maximize profitability. Prepare timely and accurate quotations for FCL, LCL, Breakbulk, and Project Cargo shipments. Coordinate closely with the Sales and Overseas teams for pricing support and business development. Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines and logistics partners. Monitor freight market trends, General Rate Increases (GRIs), Peak Season Surcharges (PSS), and other market developments. Develop pricing strategies to improve conversion ratios and profitability. Ensure quotations are commercially viable and aligned with company objectives. Support key account management by providing customized pricing solutions. Handle RFQs, tenders, and annual pricing contracts. Maintain an updated database of carrier tariffs, transit times, and service schedules. Work closely with Operations to ensure seamless execution of shipments. Identify new trade lane opportunities and carrier options. Prepare periodic MIS reports related to pricing, margins, and market intelligence. Train and mentor junior pricing team members. Requirements Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Ocean Export Pricing within an international freight forwarding or logistics company. Experience working with major shipping lines, NVOCCs, and overseas agents is essential. Desired Skills Strong negotiation and commercial acumen. Excellent knowledge of international shipping routes and trade lanes. Thorough understanding of Incoterms, freight tariffs, surcharges, and export documentation. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight quotation deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and freight forwarding software/ERP systems. Educational Qualification Graduate in any discipline. MBA or Post Graduate qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or Marketing will be an added advantage.
