Role Production Sr. Manager leads various production activities, supporting the site Head in personnel, target setting, knowhow, feedback, and coaching. Responsibilities include: Preparing production plans based on projected sales. Ensuring production execution as per plan. Overseeing Quality Management systems, initiating Change controls, handling deviations, conducting investigations, and defining adequate CAPA. Ensuring production adheres to defined procedures as per BPCR and SOP’s. Ensuring timely completion/submission of various documentation related to plant operation. Planning and ensuring availability of raw materials and consumables with defined inventory control. Preparing and finalizing shift schedules and ensuring team members follow them. Approving shift changes/leave approvals of team members. Providing technical inputs for process improvement and cost optimization. Working on capacity improvement by optimizing batch size/equipment working volumes and time cycle reduction. Ensuring plant and surrounding housekeeping is done as per defined procedures and expectations. Ensuring no drum handling in plant unless necessary under certain conditions with prior approval. Ensuring on-time dispatch without any mistakes leading to recall of material. Ensuring plant equipment and supporting machinery is maintained in proper condition with scheduled maintenance, avoiding corrosive environment and following safe operations. Analyzing downtime performance of batches to act on repeatable occurrences to avoid recurrence. Ensuring safety compliance followed by personnel working in plant and surrounding. Ensuring Zero non-compliance wrt GMP and EHS in day-to-day activities, in audits/visits. Ensuring proper Team Management for smooth operation. Providing necessary infrastructure to keep plant neat and clean by avoiding any condition which leads to chemical/water leakage in plant and surrounding. Considering Training as an important activity, more emphasis needs to be given on training of personnel as per training calendar. Finding weak area’s of person and work on improving operational/analytical skill as per desired expectations. Ensuring plant shutdown activities are done with prior planning (completion of various pending modifications/fix up) and utilization of available time on teams development by training/team discussions to improve productivity and skill enhancement. Ensuring smooth handling of effluent and treatment at ETP and timely hazardous waste disposal. Defining job responsibility to the associate/downlines. Ensuring all necessary production related data is gathered online and maintained properly. Review of collected data for analysing operational performance is necessary. Maintaining proper communication with Engg, EHS, Purchase, Supply Chain, QC, QA, HR and Accounts for smooth operations. Preparing product budget for RM norms, solvent recoveries and yield. Ensuring that RM consumption, solvent utilization and yields are within budgeted norms. Defining KRA’s / individual and departmental goals for team members and timely review of their performance to ensure progress/identifying issues. Recruitment of skilled manpower to maintain operational capability of plant. Working on building positive culture at the workplace by interacting with team members, Recognizing good work, Providing continuous support, essential training and Evaluating current practices, policies, and employee needs etc. Key Responsibilities Production Planning: Develop and implement production plans aligned with projected sales, ensuring execution as per plan. Quality Management: Oversee Quality Management systems, initiate Change controls, handle deviations, conduct investigations, and define adequate CAPA. Operational Excellence: Ensure production adheres to defined procedures, maintain timely documentation, and manage inventory control.
