Export Business Development Head

LACTITOL INDIA PRIVATE LIMITEDGurgaon

About the Role We are looking to hire an export business development professional who can build and lead Lactitol India’s international sales pipeline. The requirement is for a commercial business development leader, not a routine export documentation profile. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new export customers across target international markets. Build a structured pipeline of customers, distributors, agents, importers, and strategic accounts. Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and first contact to sampling, documentation, negotiation, and order conversion. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, Incoterms, annual contracts, and long-term supply agreements while protecting company margins. Coordinate internally with QA, regulatory, logistics, production, finance, and senior management for customer requirements. Represent the company in international exhibitions, trade fairs, customer visits, virtual meetings, and distributor discussions. Prepare market-entry plans, competitor feedback, pricing intelligence, lead reports, and monthly export sales forecasts. Maintain disciplined follow-up and tracking for all leads, samples, documentation requests, quotations, and customer approvals. Requirements Strong international B2B sales and business development experience, preferably in pharma/API/ingredients or similar technical bulk products. Excellent written and spoken English communication, with the ability to represent the company professionally with global customers. Ability to generate new leads, approach customers, send samples, coordinate documentation, negotiate commercial terms, and close long-term supply contracts. Comfortable discussing products at a commercial and basic technical level with customers, distributors, regulatory teams, and procurement teams. Capable of setting up and leading the export business development function, not only handling individual sales enquiries. Preferred Qualifications Preferred market exposure: North America, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa, and other regulated pharma or ingredient markets. Preferred customer exposure: Pharma companies, formulation companies, API buyers, distributors, importers, nutraceutical companies, food ingredient companies, and trading houses. Existing network in pharma APIs, excipients, nutraceutical ingredients, food ingredients, or dairy ingredients will be a strong advantage. Additional language skills such as Spanish, French, Arabic, German, or Portuguese will be considered a plus. Location & Work Mode Base location: Gurgaon office. Onsite role.
