About the Role We are seeking a dynamic Engineering Head / CTO who can assume full responsibility for our technology function. This role is perfect for a technical leader with a proven track record in building products from the ground up, preferably in a startup setting, and who can adeptly balance coding, architecture, team building, and technology strategy. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our founders, own the complete engineering roadmap, construct scalable systems, and develop technology solutions that provide tangible user benefits. Key Responsibilities Own the overall engineering strategy, architecture, and technology roadmap. Be hands-on with coding, system design, and technical decision-making. Build scalable backend systems and product infrastructure. Lead development of AI-powered solutions, automation workflows, and integrations. Design and manage APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and application architecture. Build, mentor, and manage the engineering team. Hire strong engineering talent and establish engineering processes. Ensure scalability, security, reliability, and performance of products. Collaborate with founders and product teams on execution and innovation. Drive engineering excellence in a fast-paced startup environment. Required Skills & Experience 3-5 years of software engineering experience. Strong startup/product company experience preferred. Experience building products from 0 to 1 and scaling technology platforms. Strong hands-on experience with backend technologies: - Node.js - Python - Java - Golang Strong understanding of: - System Design - Microservices Architecture - REST APIs - Database Design - Cloud Infrastructure - DevOps & CI/CD Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure. Experience managing and mentoring engineering teams. Ability to make independent architecture and technology decisions. Preferred Skills Experience with AI/ML, LLMs, AI Agents, and automation. Experience building SaaS, consumer technology, or platform products. Experience with third-party API integrations. Strong understanding of scalable and high-performance systems. Ideal Candidate Hands-on technical leader with a builder mindset. Comfortable working in a startup environment. Has ownership mentality and entrepreneurial thinking. Enjoys solving complex engineering problems. Can move between coding, architecture, hiring, and leadership responsibilities. Interested in long-term wealth creation through ESOPs and ownership.
