About the Role The Forward Deployed Engineer bridges tools and processes, collaborating with rig clerks, contracts executives, and other functions. This role focuses on tasks like drilling reports, NPT analysis, tender review, maintenance and inspection history, crew certification, spares, and mobilisation. It involves advocating for process fixes before implementation. Key Responsibilities Embed: Focus on one function; shadow work; map workflows; quantify hours; select use cases based on value, frequency, and feasibility. Train: Hands-on training on the function's work; use prompts, context, verification, and failure modes; establish champions per function; create playbooks, prompt libraries, and SOPs in English and Hindi. Build: Develop assistants, drafting, extraction, requisitions, invoices, inspections, summarization, internal knowledge search, and automations to eliminate re-keying; integrate with ERP, maintenance, email, and drives; deploy solutions within weeks. Govern: Control data entry into tools; ensure human oversight on client submissions, safety, specs, payments, and people; manage access, approvals, retention, audit trails, and costs; own the AI policy. Measure: Establish baselines for each deployment (hours, cycle time, rework, cost); report failures; phase out unused tools; create a ranked roadmap; track peer performance. Requirements Experience: 3-4 years in technical delivery and teaching non-technical users. Education: B.Tech in Computer Science or related engineering. Skills: AI: Experience with LLMs in real deployments - prompting, context, retrieval, agents, evaluation. Demos do not count. Software: Python, JavaScript, React, Node.js, SQL. Certifications: Required - Claude Certified Associate (CCAO-F), Developer (CCDV-F), Architect (CCAR-F) - all Foundations. Optional - Claude Certified Architect (CCAR-P), Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102). Teaching: Sustained adoption among non-technical adults, not one-off workshops. Domain: Oil and gas, marine, heavy engineering, or EPC preferred; safety-critical comfort is crucial. Data: Operational documents - reports, maintenance records, inspections, drawings, contracts. Language: Fluent English and Hindi. Network Security: Required. Cloud Infrastructure: Required. System Administration: Required. Network Configuration: Required.
