About the Role The General Manager- Seed Division will oversee end-to-end seed processing operations for all 4 plants located in Akola & Nagpur. The role involves ensuring regular visits to the plants for smooth functioning of processing units and optimal capacity utilization. The General Manager will coordinate production planning and daily output targets across all plants. Key Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end seed processing operations for all 4 plants located in Akola & Nagpur. Ensure regular visits to the plants for smooth functioning of processing units and optimal capacity utilization. Coordinating production planning and daily output targets across all plants. Ensure adherence to seed quality standards, certification norms, and regulatory requirements. Maintain germination, purity, and moisture standards as per guidelines. Coordinate with quality and R&D teams for continuous improvement. Lead and manage plant staff, supervisors, and operators. Ensure proper training, development, and performance management of the team. Promote a safe and productive work environment. Ensure proper maintenance of processing machinery and equipment. Minimize downtime through preventive and corrective maintenance planning. Manage raw seed and finished goods inventory. Coordinate with procurement and dispatch teams for smooth material flow. Ensure proper storage and handling practices. Monitor operational costs and implement cost-saving initiatives. Improve productivity, reduce wastage, and enhance process efficiency. Ensure adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations. Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions. Prepare MIS reports on production, quality, and efficiency. Coordinate with cross-functional teams like procurement, sales, and supply chain.
