Role Purpose

We are looking for a hands-on Production & Sourcing Merchandiser to manage end-to-end outsourced handicraft production—from supplier sourcing and sampling to costing, quality control, and dispatch readiness.
This role is ideal for someone deeply connected with multiple handicraft clusters and suppliers and comfortable coordinating closely with design, vendors, and buyers.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier & Vendor Management

• Source, onboard, and manage suppliers across multiple categories including metal (brass, iron), glass, ceramics, blue pottery, wood, marble, candles, and sustainable materials

• Maintain strong working relationships with vendors across different production clusters

• Conduct vendor visits and factory coordination when required

Sampling & Design Coordination

• Independently handle design-led sampling, including prototype development, revisions, approvals, and final sign-offs

• Coordinate closely with design teams and suppliers to ensure feasibility, finish accuracy, and cost alignment

• Manage multiple sampling timelines simultaneously

Costing & Negotiation

• Prepare accurate costings with clear margin understanding

• Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and packaging costs with suppliers

• Support price finalization for buyer quotes

Production & Quality Control

• Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time completion and dispatch readiness

• Ensure quality standards, testing requirements, packaging norms, and material specifications are met

• Support basic export compliance and documentation requirements

Data & Coordination

• Maintain an updated vendor database including pricing, MOQs, lead times, and capabilities

• Act as the key coordination point between suppliers, internal teams, and buyers

Mandatory Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in an export house or handicrafts manufacturing/sourcing setup

• Direct experience managing outsourced production vendors

• Strong hands-on exposure to sampling, costing, and production follow-ups

• Working knowledge of export quality standards, testing norms, and basic documentation

• Existing supplier network across multiple handicraft categories is a strong advantage

Education

• Graduate (BA / BCom / BSc / BFA / Any discipline)

• No fancy degree required — practical industry experience matters more
