Overview: Laxcon Steel Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Mechanical Maintenance to lead our maintenance operations in Ahmedabad. This pivotal role involves overseeing all mechanical maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and longevity of our critical plant machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the mechanical maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement robust preventive and predictive maintenance strategies (TPM, RCM).
• Oversee maintenance budgets and CapEx management, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Manage vendor relationships and procure necessary parts and services.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and company policies.
• Optimize maintenance of heavy rotating machinery, material handling systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Implement vibration analysis and NDT techniques for proactive maintenance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 18-25 years of progressive experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the steel industry.
• Proven expertise in reliability engineering, predictive maintenance, and preventive maintenance.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in budget management and vendor management.
• Hands-on experience with vibration analysis, NDT, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Demonstrated commitment to HSE compliance.
