Job Description: VP of Engineering
The Role
We are looking for a Vice President of Engineering to lead and expand our engineering team,
own the tech stack end-to-end, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in AI-driven
video editing. You will be a thought partner to the founders and play a key role in strategic
decisions, technology direction, and building a culture of execution and excellence.

 Responsibilities

•  Lead, scale, and mentor a team of backend, frontend, and ML/AI engineers. *Define the technology roadmap in line with Frammer’s product and business goals. *Own the architecture and scalability of our AI-powered video processing platform *(Python, FFmpeg, YOLO, MediaPipe, SAM, etc.) *Drive execution discipline, technical quality, and engineering velocity. *Recruit top talent and build a high-performance engineering culture. *Thrive in a high-stress, high-ownership environment: late nights, pivots, fire drills—and love it. *Keep up with emerging technologies and trends in AI, media, video, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Sales, and Customer Success.

Requirements
● Proven success building and scaling engineering teams in startups or product-led tech
companies.
● Hands-on expertise in Python, cloud (AWS), video processing tools (FFmpeg, HLS), and
ideally AI/ML.
● Strong grasp of system design, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines for media applications.
● Experience launching and maintaining production-grade SaaS platforms.
● High tolerance for ambiguity, rapid change, and deep technical debt (and a plan to tackle
it).
● Clear communicator, decisive leader, and team-first attitude.
● Startup mindset: You're always learning, always connected, and always moving.

Bonus Points
● Experience with AI models like YOLO, SAM, MediaPipe, or integrating LLMs.
● Experience of broadcast technologies and specifications
● Prior CTO or VP Eng experience at an early-stage media or AI startup.
● Contributor to open-source media or ML tooling.
