Job Description: Senior Interior Designer

Qualification:
Diploma / Degree / Master’s in Interior Design

Project Typologies:
Healthcare | Education | Hospitality Architecture

Role Objective:

The Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for delivering high-quality design and drawing portfolios, managing statutory submissions for Mumbai-region projects, coordinating with consultants, and mentoring the design team while ensuring timely project delivery and client satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver the highest quality design and drawing outputs in a timely and efficient manner

• Take ownership of statutory drawings for projects in Mumbai and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region

• Ensure adherence to approved manpower budgets across all project activities

• Provide timely, complete, and well-coordinated design solutions to clients

• Support personal professional growth while actively mentoring and developing the reporting team

Key Role Responsibilities

• Take complete responsibility for the quality and consistency of design portfolios across assigned projects

• Develop strong, creative design responses aligned with project requirements and design intent

• Produce comprehensive design documentation at all stages of the design process

• Coordinate with sub-consultants and internal design support teams to ensure fully integrated design delivery

• Manage Edifice’s scope of statutory submission drawings, including coordination with permitting consultants (Mumbai & MMR projects)

• Ensure project delivery aligns with planned timelines, resources, and quality standards

• Lead, guide, and motivate the design team through fair evaluations, feedback, and skill development

• Present finalized and approved concept designs to internal teams and external consultants

• Proactively identify and address potential design or coordination issues to avoid client escalations

• Keep the Project Head informed of any risks related to design coordination or documentation
